# Resources

Resources are used to upgrade items. They are the main fuel for the development of both players and the entire NIDUM Station.

Resources have several traits, they:

* vary in Rarity
* can be mined
* can be won in battles
* can be purchased from other players via several different modules

### Basic Resources

Basic Resources are the types of resources that can be obtained by winning battles and opening up loot boxes.

In future, they will be obtainable from mining.

### Polygons

Players with Genesis Collection Heroes can receive Polygons as a part of their daily victory rewards for every Hero on their team. The number of Polygons each Hero can receive per day is limited and depends on their Rarity: Common Heroes get 1 Polygon per day, Epic Heroes get 3 Polygons per day and Legendary Heroes can get up to 10 Polygons per day.

Polygon is an expensive game resource and will be used for other game activities beside investing.
