Your gateway to Active Abilities, enhanced Interface, and upgraded Challenges

Xenna lovers, the much-anticipated day is finally here, and we are ready to present Xenna 2.0 for Open Beta, the new, enhanced, and reworked real-time strategy game. Read on for more information about the upgrade and all the juicy details about the enhancements.

Core Gameplay

A lot of game elements have been reworked to fit the new narrative. Here are the main changes made to the core gameplay.

  • New tutorial to fit the new active abilities system

  • Revamped Matchmaking

  • Rebalance of core game elements (robots, resources, structures, etc.)

  • New mechanics of structures function

  • Changed timing of storm mechanics

  • Adaptation of all abilities to the new Active Abilities System.

  • Health Spheres are now an integral part of the core gameplay.

  • Revised balance and functionality of structure resources

  • New booster mechanic (AirDrop) added

  • New abilities introduced (at launch, some of them will only be available to veteran players)

    • Earthquake

    • Arson

    • Ice Rocket

We are dedicated to bringing you the best experience out there, so we’ve made considerable enhancements to the Meta Gameplay. Here are the details:

Meta Gameplay

Behold the enhancements!

  • Added a collection of abilities with the following options:

    • Collect abilities

    • Build a card collection

  • Robots reworked:

    • No longer have characteristics. They are now differentiated by unique abilities.

    • The number of robot levels has been reduced (from 60 to 10).

    • The pricing details for robot purchases have been revised.

  • Changed method for obtaining abilities from Boxes

  • Revised drop rates for abilities from Boxes

  • Added schemes

  • Updated rarity system for abilities

  • Revised mechanics of Shards

  • Daily Rewards configuration changed

  • Golden Cards mechanics updated

  • Updated Quest chains and their rewards

  • Modified energy mechanics

  • Removed the Forge mechanics

  • Updated Store offerings and their prices

  • Game economy rebalanced

UX/UI

User interface is just as important as the gameplay rework, and we’d like to share those details, too! Here is what we’ve accomplished:

  • Redesigned game lobby

  • Sidebar with additional functions added to the lobby

  • Reworked Core Gameplay screen

  • Added abilities panel and mana bar on the Core Gameplay screen

  • Updated matchmaking window

  • Updated battle results window

  • Changed robot selection screen

  • Added individual robot energy

  • Added robot-level progression path

  • Added skin selection screen

  • Added deck-building and card collection screen

  • Removed the forge screen

Several other enhancements will make your experience more enjoyable:

  • Most ability VFX have been reworked.

  • New SFX has been added.
